Gisa Heins Co-Founder Folklore Baby & Kids

GISA MARSICOVETERE HEINZ | GUATEMALA

Gisa was born and raised by two successful entrepreneurs in Guatemala City. She’s a Graphic Designer and Marketer at heart that has always enjoyed fashion, traveling and being around friends and family. After years of traveling the world and focusing on her career in Guatemala, she took a risk and headed to Dallas, Texas to pursue her MBA at Southern Methodist University, figuring she would return to the family business in Guatemala upon graduation. Fate had other plans for Gisa, and she ended up staying in Dallas and marrying her MBA sweetheart. Gisa scored when she was hired at 7-Eleven upon graduating SMU. She worked her way up from field operations to the Ivory Tower where she managed the day-to-day marketing for 7-Eleven’s most recognized brands, Slurpee and Big Gulp. Three years later, fate struck again and Gisa decided to leave corporate America to start a family in Chicago where she had her first daughter, Annalee. Fortunately life brought her back to Texas where she had her second daughter, Emilia. Today, Gisa works remotely for the family business and is enjoying the beautiful chaos of starting a new business and raising two beautiful girls.

Susana Arce Co-founder of Folklore Baby & Kids

SUSANA ARCE | BOLIVIA

Susana was born in Mexico City, raised in La Paz Bolivia and her college years were spent between Montreal and San Francisco. University led to jobs in boutique hotels, mainly focusing in sales and marketing. With time came opportunity, which prompted her move to her next adventure in NYC where she worked as a wine buyer at an ecommerce wine startup. In 2013, she once again packed up and moved to Dallas, this time accompanied by her newly appointed husband Jammil. Holding true to the saying, 'everything is bigger in Texas' Susana and Jammil quickly added 2 members to the family; one a puppy named Gaston and soon after a baby boy named Sayid. As a new mom and a lover of all things diverse and worldly, Susana set out to bring multi-cultural fashion to families around the US by launching Folklore Baby & Kids with Gisa.
